Oliver Sourbut

Oliver is a Researcher (AI Specialist) at the Future of Life Foundation. He previously worked on loss of control threat modeling and evaluation at the UK AI Safety Institute, engaged with the UK's FCDO and OECD on AI governance, and researched language model agent oversight and multiagent safety at Oxford.

Seán Ó hÉigeartaigh

Seán is Associate Director (Research Strategy) and the Programme Director for the AI:FAR research programme at the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence (CFI). Seán was also the founding Executive Director of the Centre for the Study of Existential Risk (CSER), an academic research centre at University of Cambridge focusing on global risks associated with emerging technologies and human activity.

Markus is Director of Policy and Research at the Centre for the Governance of AI (GovAI), where he works on the safety, evaluation, and governance of frontier AI systems. He is a Vice-Chair drafting the EU Code of Practice for General-Purpose AI, an Adjunct Fellow at the Center for a New American Security, and a member of the OECD AI Policy Observatory’s Expert Group on AI Futures. Previously, he advised the UK government as a Senior AI Policy Specialist in the Cabinet Office. His work focuses on frontier AI safety, risk assessment, compute governance, and institutional approaches to managing advanced AI capabilities. His research has been published in Science, Nature Machine Intelligence, IJCAI, JAIR, and the AAAI/ACM Conference on AI, Ethics, and Society.

Markus Anderljung

Sara is a world-leading expert in automated planning, which involves equipping artificial agents with the ability to synthesise plans to reach specific goals. She is a member of the Executive Council of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI), where she leads the Partnership Committee, the International Conference on Automated Planning and Scheduling (ICAPS), and the Scientific Organizations Coordinating Council (AISOCC). Sara is an associate editor of the Artificial Intelligence Journal and the Journal of Artificial Intelligence Research. She was the managing guest editor of the Artificial Intelligence Journal Special Issue on ‘Risk-Aware Autonomous Systems’, a testament to her commitment to AI safety.
