Postdoctoral Researcher in AI & Risk
The Postdoctoral Researcher in AI and Risk will contribute and lead research on AI risk, governance, and the societal impacts of advanced AI systems. A strong record of independent scholarship and engagement with public policy and international institutions is highly desirable.
The postholder will contribute to the strategic development of the Initiative’s research programme and to its external engagement with policymakers, international organisations, and other stakeholders. The role combines high-quality academic research with policy-facing activity, supporting the translation of scholarly work into practical governance frameworks.

Salary(£): £49,119 - £58,265 per annum. A less experienced candidate may be appointed at Grade 7: £39,424 - £47,779 per annum, with an adjustment in the responsibilities accordingly.
